Marica´s user diary and personas

Our group decided to keep a user diary during week 45 about our own radio listening. So here is my diary. I have listed there all the time what I have spent by listening music.

Monday: I listened Yle Puhe for half an hour before going to sleep. This has come a "silly habbit" for me, because it´s helps me sometimes to get sleep. But I don´t do that every day. J

Tuesday: I listened NRJ while doing homework in the morning from 9.30-11.00.

Wednesday: I didn´t listen to music at all..

Thursday:  I spent the day at home cleaning and doing homework so I had radio on from 11 to 17. And the channel was NRJ. In the morning I listened iPod when I was walking about 30 min.

Friday: I had radio on at home from 11-15. I listened NRJ while doing homework. In the morning when walking to the shop I listened my iPod about 15 min. I also listened radio in the car with my dad when we drove to Somero. The channel was Radio Nova.

Saturday: I listened my iPod during the day when I exercised about 1,5 hours.. I also listened cd in the car while driving about one hour.


Sunday: I listened my iPod while travelling to Turku by bus.

And here are some ideas which I have got about the personas..

Future´s radio station:
Persona 1 “Lifestyle channel”
- Different channels for different lifestyles: “sporty”, “women/men”, “kids”, “seniors” à channels have very clear own target group.
- Radio programmes and music can have some exact and daily theme.
- Listener can decide what kind of programmes and music the channel broadcasts --> Social medias are important part of the channel.

Persona 2 “Internal radio”
- Buildings have an internal radio systems.
- People who live in the house or use the building can customize they own channels and are willing to pay for it.

Future´s radio listener:
Persona 1
- Individual and selective person, who wants to express him-/herself with the radio channel he/she listens to.
-  He/She has some particular interests or hobbies.
- Uses actively different social medias.
- He/She is ready to pay for music, if thinks that is worth it.

Persona 2¨
- He/She is very interested the world around him/her.
- Wants to know the latest news quick and get some new information.
- Wants to use different kinds of tools and medias to get new information.
- Communication and sharing information are important for him/her and also the possibility to affect.
